PARENT INVOLVEMENT
ORIENTATIONS: During the first weeks of school, parents attend orientations by grade levels.
On the agenda are the academic program, student and parent responsibilities, school rules and requirements, the testing program, special events and other phases of school life. The orientation provides an opportunity to ask questions and discover effective ways to make the school year a successful and happy one. Parents should make every effort to attend.
Code of Conduct
The Holy Apostles Episcopal School Code of Conduct states our standards of behavior. Our teachers and staff use positive strategies to encourage appropriate behaviors. A cooperative classroom environment is provided to promote personal responsibilities and self-management. Clear limits and consequences are set. Encouragement and modeling are used rather than criticism. Corporal punishment is not allowed under any circumstances.
CODE OF CONDUCT: Holy Apostles Episcopal School adopts this Code of Conduct for the purpose of clarifying the standard of behavior expected of students at Holy Apostles Episcopal School. The safety of our children at school is one of the highest priorities of HAES, and this Code of Conduct shall be interpreted and applied in light of this priority. The guiding principle behind the Code of Conduct is that HAES expects all its students to behave in a manner consistent with the principles of a Christian community, to include respect for one another, appreciation of individual differences, consideration of others' feelings, and incorporation of high standards and morals in all activities.

RELIGIOUS AND COMMUNITY LIFE
CHAPEL: Our attend Chapel every Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. Through prayer, music, and lessons, we explore and experience the reality of God’s love for us. Students participate in Chapel in a variety of ways on a rotating schedule. Various pastors from throughout the community will be invited to participate. The opportunity to worship together strengthens us as a community and nurtures us as individuals. Families are invited to join us at the Holy Apostles Episcopal School our any of our services. Your presence enriches our services.
We will teach Bible stories which emphasizes the wonder of God active in our world and
the reality of His love for us and our call to love our neighbors as ourselves. As we explore
stories from the Old and New Testaments, students are asked to apply the lessons learned to
their own lives. It is our hope that students will learn to respect all people as unique children of
God. Students are also challenged to discover the individual gifts God has given them and to
use these gifts in service to others.
SERVICE PROJECTS: Believing that we are to share our blessings with others, service projects are an important aspect of life at Holy Apostles Episcopal School. Actively responding to the Gospel to “love one another,” our students experience the joy and responsibility of sharing their time, their gifts and talents to help others and their community.
Students are encouraged to tithe to service and mission projects. We will participate in at least tow projects per year. One will be a local project, like the Food Bank. Another will be a world project, like the L.A.M.B. Institute in Honduras.
